We are very pleased to say that we are now publishing two completely new, comparatively unknown, Eric Ravilious images: Cucumber House, and Greenhouse with Tomatoes and Cyclamen.

Ravilious – Cucmber House – Cost (unframed) £225.00

    Ravilious - Greenhouse - Cost (unframed) £225.00

These exquisite paintings were inspired by visits to the greenhouse at Firle House in Lewes, Sussex. They not only illustrate the filigree beauty of leaves and fruit arranged in bowers and arbors along its sides, they seem also to capture that experience of the heated pungency which can assail the senses when first entering a greenhouse.

As always these are in a limited edition (1/850) and printed to the highest of standards on 310gsm 100% cotton rag. Cost per print is £225.00 unframed, but you may choose to order framed – either in English Oak or Matt-Black Wood with archival mount – for an additional £98.00. Shipping is free in the UK – whether for framed prints or unframed.

You can order via our website at The Bookroom Art Press, or ring us on 01273-682110 to reserve your print.

This Spring promises to be a busy one: not only have we brought out these two Ravilious, we will soon be publishing several new artists – one did wonderful graphic work for Shell and the General Post-Office in the 1930’s, the other belonged to that talented group of students under the tutelage of Claude Flight at the Grosvenor School. We’ll keep you posted.
